About Carbon 6 Brewery
Located conveniently mid-way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane on the M1, Carbon 6 Brewery is the latest venture in the craft beer industry, focusing on the art and science of brewing. With our state-of-the-art, brand-new equipment including a 4 vessel 2,000L LPG heated brewhouse and four 2000L fermentation vessels (with expansion plans), we are set to make a mark on the craft beer scene. Our business model focuses on online sales complemented by an onsite public tasting outlet, aiming to create a unique experience for craft beer enthusiasts.
As the inaugural Head Brewer at Carbon 6 Brewery, you'll lead our brewing operations, managing a compact team with the initial responsibility of being the "head of everything." This role reports directly to the brewery manager and owners, offering the right candidate a unique opportunity to shape the brewery's direction and success.
The Role
Position: Head Brewer (potential to expand to Brewery Manager)
Location: Between Gold Coast and Brisbane, QLD
Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Food & Beverages / Craft Beer Brewing
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire brewing process from raw materials, fermenting to packaging.
- Implement and document quality control systems.
- Regularly brew, clean equipment, and ensure the continuous production of beer.
- Conduct analysis and quality testing of products to maintain the highest standards of craft beer.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the beer industry.
- IBD Master Brewer qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Must possess a current Driver's licence.
- Australian residency or a valid work visa is required.
- Hold a current RSA or RMLV certificate.
