Job Description: State Sales Manager – WA
The State Sales Manager (WA) will be responsible for the development of the market strategy; executing agreed sales strategies; coaching and managing the State Sales Team; Key Account Management of Retail Banners and Key On Premise Customers; Communication & Planning of Account plans to Head of Sales; Achievement of sales budgets and P&L Management.
Key responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Full accountability for the WA Sales team volumes and budgets which contribute to the National P&L.
- Lead Cycle Planning for the National Business ensuring all plans are communicated and executed as per the agreed Business Strategies.
- Plan, coordinate and communicate the National Sales Plans and where appropriate, recommend standards and set targets with input from State Managers
- Key Account Management of WA Retail Banners and Key On Premise Customers, including negotiating Trading Terms, selling in activations and analysing these activations (ROI), Promotional slotting and Joint Business Planning.
- Input into the development of initiatives such as new products, new marketing techniques, new advertising campaigns.
- Oversee continued development and use of Sales tool (Hubspot).
- Working closely with the Marketing Team to help develop activity for Key Account Customers
- Evaluation of WA Activity ensuring achievement of KPI’s and ROI review
- Direct the WA Sales Team for the achievement of short term and long-term business objectives
- Coaching and Development of the WA Sales Team
- Delivering and managing Achievement reviews and Development plans for each team member in the WA Sales Team
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven ability to build and achieve sales budgets
- Coaching and Performance Management
- Sales Planning and Co Ordination of activities
- Experience of managing key customer groups, either at a State or National level
- Comprehensive communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical & reporting skills
- Ability to partner with and successfully negotiate with internal and external customers
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word) ∙ Working knowledge of the liquor industry
- Over 5 years’ sales experience

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience using Microsoft Navision CRM
