The King River Brewing taproom is a beautiful and tranquil part of Victoria's High Country Brewery Trail dedicated to serving local beer with delicious pizza.

If you'd like to help the small team at the brewery run their venue, they're hiring a taproom manager.

If brewing is more your speed, they're also looking for someone to help them on the brew floor


Job Description: Taproom Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our small and dynamic team at King River Brewing as Taproom Manager. The successful candidate will bring a positive and passionate customer-focused experience to everyone who visits King River Brewing with an eagerness to take our venue to the next level!

King River Brewing is a small family-owned and operated brewery with taproom located in the beautiful King Valley, North East Victoria – part of Victoria’s High Country. We brew award-winning beers and have a strong following in North East Vic, Albury/Wodonga, Melbourne and beyond.

As a family business in a small region, we take great pride in being valuable and respected members of the community, great hosts to our customers and supportive employers.

Currently expanding both our taproom and production facilities, exciting opportunities now exist to join our growing award-winning family brewery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day venue management, including end of service responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional experience to visitors of our taproom.
  • Successfully lead a small team
  • Inventory management and stock control
  • Maintain and develop systems to ensure smooth service
  • Manage staff training to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Event and function management
  • Rostering of staff
  • A positive attitude with genuine customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills and self-motivation
  • Demonstrated food and beverage service experience
  • A passion and enthusiasm for customer service and independent craft beer
  • Attention to detail and the ability to uphold and elevate standards
  • Ability to maintain a positive and supportive culture
  • A problem solver, with creative solutions

Skills Required

To be considered, you must possess:

  • Current VIC RSA
  • Current Driver’s licence
  • Able to work weekends and nights
  • Demonstrated management experience
  • A minimum three years’ experience in a customer-focused role providing exceptional customer service
  • Intermediate word and excel (or equivalent)
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
