Job Description: Permanent Cellar Hand
Thunder Road Brewing is a proudly independent brewery making thirst-quenching beer, cider, and seltzer from its brewery in Brunswick. We are looking for a permanent Cellar Hand to add to our team. This position will report to the Head Brewer and Quality Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Keg filling and cleaning operation on semi-automatic keg filler;
- Plant CIP
- Yeast Handling
- Centrifuge/filtration
- Performing secondary brewing tasks, including milling and grain out;
- General plant cleaning
- Raw material and chemical handling
- Record keeping
- Maintenance
- Forklift operation
- shift work
Key attributes:
- Hard working
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Able to follow SOP’s
- Serious attitude to OHS
- Computer literate
- Good communicator
Advantageous:
- Brewing or related science qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial brewing environment
Please note: some rostered weekend work is required (fermentation checks) and a reasonable amount of physical strength to move machinery and kegs.
