The Gold Coast today is home to some of the most successful breweries in Australia. Burleigh Brewing is the region's trailblazer, first releasing beers locally in 2006 before spreading across the country, picking up plenty of silverware along the way.

Right now, they're looking to add to their team in Sydney.

JOB DESCRIPTION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Do you boast an enviable reputation as being both effective and trustworthy as an FMCG sales professional? Do you have at least 3 years’ sales experience? Do you have a thorough understanding of and solid relationships within the Sydney/NSW on and off-premise liquor market?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic person to join our dynamic team at Burleigh Brewing and to drive our business in New South Wales.

This full-time sales and business development role will be varied. Like all Burleigh Brewing Company roles, this role is not for the faint hearted! We are a high-performance team, working hard to make things happen. Being situated a long way from ‘the mother ship’, you will need to demonstrate self-motivation and drive leading to real outcomes.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be required to develop strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • able to effectively plan, coordinate and communicate mutually agreed sales objectives within a collaborate workplace environment to achieve sustainable results
  • deliver defined targets and outcomes for both new business and growth in existing accounts
  • effectively execute sales strategies in a manner that is aligned with the Burleigh Brewing brand
  • follow established customer management processes and procedures, including call cycles
  • work effectively on strategic business and account planning, in-store merchandising and promotional execution
  • nurture strong customer relationships across channels and stakeholders
  • maintain single-minded focus on the product range under the Burleigh Brewing Company banner
  • participate in promotional activities such as product sampling and events / festivals as required
  • maintain accurate records and report directly to our National Sales Manager, while working effectively as a member of our sales team

  • demonstrated familiarity with and relationships within the NSW liquor industry

You will need to demonstrate proven experience in building long term sustainable business relationships and in successfully delivering – and exceeding - sales targets.

This is a diverse role which will see you operate in the field 5 days per week plus weekend or evening event support work as needed. While primarily focussed in the greater Sydney metro market, some travel will be required.

Salary package including fully maintained vehicle and phone.
