Hottest 100: Around Oz

There’s only a few weeks left for brewers to unleash new beers onto the Aussie public in 2010 if they hope to make an appearance in The Local Taphouse’s third Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers poll. And, in our ongoing attempts to pick the brain’s of the nation’s best beer folk, this week we’ve spread the net a little wider and invited a few interstate brewers to give us their favourite tipples from 2010.

Once again, there’s a mix of old and new in their lists. But will any of them make yours? If you’re ready to cast your vote, you can head here. If you’re still mulling over your choice, see if any of these take your fancy.

Nail Ale

Alistair Turnbull – Lobethal Bierhaus, SA

Burleigh Brewing Black Giraffe – Class.

Brennan Fielding – Burleigh Brewing Company, QLD

Burleigh-Brewing-3
On the Burleigh bottling line.

Brennan’s wife and Burleigh co-founder Peta managed to corner him on the brewers' platform “while he was tossing hops in the 28 Pale Ale”. He looked “very hot and thirsty” but managed to offer the following:

"If you're really not going to let me vote for any of the Burleigh Brews, then give me a…

Moorilla Hefeweizen
Wig & Pen Obama (IPA)
