At times it feels like the nation’s brewers and craft beer drinkers can’t get enough Citra, with the American hop a key plank of countless juice bombs. But Hop Nation have set out to prove that there’s no such thing as too much of a good hop thanks to Citra Hazy IPA.
Here, Citra is served three separate ways in the form of T90 pellets, Cyro and YCH-702. If you haven’t heard of the last of those (we certainly hadn't), it’s an experimental hop extract designed to deliver a lot of flavour and aroma while making life easier for a brewer. Hop Nation are no stranger to layering hoppy goodness onto a lush and pillowy base and here there is a lot to enjoy thanks to Citra providing sweet, candy-like orange, lime, ripe stone fruit and a broad brush stroke of tropical fruit that's like dunking your head in a bowl.
Too much Citra? Not a chance.
