Launched as a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders in Palestine on Local Beer Day, Wheaty Brewing Corps' Watermelon and Lime Gose makes a return, albeit with a slight tweak from past iterations. Fresh watermelon juice meets coriander seed, pink Murray salt and new additions of fresh lime zest.
A perfect quencher for a bright, hot day, this beer is full of fresh and refreshing flavours. It starts with the watermelon, which comes through in juicy waves attached to a decent rind-like quality, while the lime is present but ever so subtle, tying all the flavours together. A reserved but balanced sourness aids drinkability, alongside just a hint of salinity and dryness right at the end.
A good beer for a good cause.
