Every team needs a heavy-hitter. Think The Hulk in Avengers, Donkey Kong in Mario Kart or The Rock in Jumanji. Enter Chuck and Son’s big gun: a strapping, big-swinging West Coast IPA which joins their core range alongside their pilsner, pale, amber ale and radler.
Inspired by Chuck Hahns’ American roots and his time judging the Great American Beer Festival back in the ‘90s, this IPA is his love letter to the iconic style. In the glass, the Heritage flaunts a generous head and deep bronze hue, preempting the rich, caramel malt tones that follow on first sip. On top, a heavy payload of Aussie, American and New Zealand hops drops a bold melange of mango, berry and citrus, underpinned with a piney bitterness and a bit of dank on the way out.
With a hefty ABV, there’s plenty going on and yet at the same time, this IPA feels extremely well-balanced and refined. Thank you for being here big boy.
