At Myora Springs on North Stradbroke Island, fresh water flows out of the ground and supports a thriving ecosystem as it runs and blends with the salt water of Moreton Bay. It’s an area full of life, and gave inspiration for an equally vibrant beer.
Head brewer Andrew Sydes designed Myora Springs Gose to capture the fresh-meets-salty character of its namesake, and saw fit to swap out coriander seed for desert lime to give the whole thing a tropical makeover. The result is a brew with bright hop flavour, a scrape of salinity and a refreshing limey zing. All of this balances atop a slightly soured base, with the lactic acid amplifying each of the flavours rather than dominating them.
