The channel between North Stradbroke and South Stradbroke Island didn’t used to be there. No, there was just one island… but thanks a wrecked ship and a whole lot of dynamite, they blew a chunk out of the island, and with the help of the enthusiastic tides cleaved the island into two pieces. Thus Jumpinpin Channel was born, and more than 120 years later, in honour of the land-shifting event, Jumpinpin IPA was born.
Bright and bold and brimming with West Coast IPA character, Jumpinpin IPA lets US and Aussie hops play together on a bed of simple, pale malt. A citrus sharpness cuts through thick resin, and a dry and earthy bitterness in the finish hits hard and fast. Explosive, you might say.
With fast-running water acting like the neighbourhood bully and pushing the sand around, Jumpinpin Channel is ever-changing. And so Straddie Brewing like to tweak Jumpinpin IPA every now and then – just to keep you on your toes.
