When Jimmy Krekelberg decided to return to his hometown and open a brewery with his family, it was always going to bring something new to the Victorian city of Traralgon.
Whether those destined to become his regulars would have expected Good Land to bring such a kaleidoscopic offering – not just the beers but the way they're presented – quite so quickly is another matter. Then again, this is a guy who ended up working at Brouwerij De Molen in the Netherlands while on his travels.
And so it is that, as Good Land turns one, the team aren't just inviting their fans to the brewery for beer and cake, they're putting on a festival – and have created collaboration brews with 2 Crows from Canada, Carwyn Cellars, and fellow Gippsland brewers Sailors Grave for the occasion.
They will be among eight new beers hitting taps – which will also be pouring the last keg of their 2022 GABS beer – as the brewery is filled with music from Matthew Bentley, Sleepless, Nick Carver &The Mean St. Butchers, and International Waters Funk.
Charlie's BBQ will be handling the food side of things, with tickets also including a festival glass for you to take home.
