Sure as night follows day and autumn turns to winter, the cool weather change signals the arrival of big dark beers. And, right on cue, the ninth incarnation of Hop Nation's much-loved annual imperial stout, The Kalash, looms large.
Set to be launched at an event at the Footscray brewery on June 5, the 2024 edition of Kalash has been aged in bourbon and Bakery Hill Distillery whisky barrels. To celebrate its arrival, the Hop Nation brewers and Andrew Baker from Bakery Hill will be on hand to talk through the beer's creation, and anything else you might like to know about making top notch booze.
