They're calling it a mini festival, but it's hard to think what more you could possibly want when it comes to things of a dark and beery nature.
Indeed, the brewers at Noosa Hinterland Brewing Co have evidently been incredibly busy as they prepare to host their annual 'Noosa Winterland' celebration on July 6-7 which will see their Cooran home overflowing with just about every style of beer on the dark end of the spectrum.
Headlined by the release of their new Belgian Dark Strong Ale and its barrel aged sibling, you'll be able to tuck into this impressive list of treats:
- Tmave Pivo Czech Dark Lager
- Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout
- Dark Fruited Sour with Cherry and Davison Plum
- Black IPA
- New World Porter
- Dark Mild
- BBQ Pineapple Tropical Stout
- Choc-Cherry Pastry Stout
- Mocha Milk Stout
- Choc-Coconut Milk Stout
- Coffee Milk Stout
- Belgian Dark Strong Ale
- Belgian Dark Strong Ale (barrel aged)
And if that's not enough, they'll also have wintry beers pouring from guest breweries too.
If you want to go a bit deeper into the experience, they're putting on special education sessions where a brewer will guide you through the ups and downs and ins and outs of making and drinking dark beers. These sessions cost $20 which gets you a tasting paddle, guided tour and Q&A; the tour starts at 1:30pm each day and runs for about an hour.
If you'd rather do things at your own pace, just turn up where you're thirsty. There'll be live music to keep you moving each day from 3-6pm.
