Any occasion on which Tar Barrel releases a dark beer is well worth taking notice of. But with the announcement of a dark beer week featuring five such beauties, the klaxons are sounding nice and loud.
From July 10-14 the Mornington Peninsula brewery and distillery will be celebrating with a showcase of dark beers, including the launch of the 2024 Imperial Stout, an appearance of the last of last year's Imperial Stout, plus the launch of Shadow Jumper (Dark Lager), Sheep Grazier Warning (Brown Ale) - not to mention the ever-reliable Process Porter.
While you'll be able to walk in and indulge throughout the week at your leisure, the headliner is happening on July 13 with a ticketed 'Before The Dawn' event. Once you arrive, a special stemmed beer glass (yours to keep) will be filled and placed in your hand. You'll then get a taste of all the dark beers - including the last ever keg of 2023 Imperial Stout.
