The long-running midwinter celebration of dark beers that is The Dark Nights is back at the Union in Newtown this June – and they're putting on one heck of lineup.
Over two nights, they've curated a huge list of the best stouts, porters, bocks, browns, blacks and everything else dark they could get their hands on – with 15 kegs of dark beer tapped each night.
Beers one to 15 pour from midday on June 28 until close; the remainder will pour from midday to close on June 29. And, if you're still in the mood for more (or can't make it on Friday or Saturday), they'll tap ten of their favourites again on Sunday.
NB There's only one keg of each beer.
If that's not enough, there's another 30 dark beers in cans and bottles – some very limited – plus some non-dark beers for those after a palate-cleanser.
They're taking bookings via their website, over the phone (02) 9557 2989, or with the team over the bar, and there's space for a few walk-ins too (which is just as well as Friday was fully booked at time of writing).
Tasting paddles will be available each day until 8pm, and jugs on select beers will be available until 9pm.
