Boatrock-toberfest is back for 2024 and, as per, the Braeside brewers are going all in.
You can join the crew from midday on October 19 as they celebrate all things German and beer-adjacent, which we'd suggest might be best started with a big stein of 2024 Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier before you move onto Boatrocker's own freshly brewed treats, including magnums of lager, schnapps and 'Paddleshots'.
Their all-important food menu has been given plenty of thought, with boot hendl (whole roast chook), steckerlfisch (fish on a stick), brotzeitbrettl (Bavarian share platter), and pretzel trees being prepared; for an authentic experience, these can be pre-booked, just like at the real deal festival in Munich. It's important to note that you don't have to pre-order food as they'll have plenty of bratwurst, frankfurters, debreciners, cheese kransky, fries and pretzels to take care of any impulsive snacking desires.
There'll also be live Oompah music from 2pm which will continue long into the night, plus traditional games to be played and prizes on offer.
Whether or not you plan to eat, you DO need to book a table. This guarantees you a three hour seating for the event. If there are no tables available, you're still welcome to come and try your luck, maybe join another table and make some new friends, or just linger by the bar.
