As Holgate's epic year-long '25 Years of Beers' celebration creeps towards its final phase, top Fitzroy boozer Near & Far is getting in on the action with a Holgate tap showcase that'll also feature an appearance of Mr Holgate himself.
Starting October 25, they'll be pouring a collection of some of the brewery's special releases, including collaborations, new releases and treats you won't find anywhere else. Specifically, this is how the tap list is shaping up:
- Sparkling Ale (new release)
- 'The Gaffer' English Pale Ale
- NZ Pilsner (Fox Friday collaboration)
- Belgian Blonde (Love Shack collaboration)
- 'Dank AF' West Coast IPA (Noodledoof collaboration)
- 'Midnight Cowboy' Wild Barrel Ale (White Rabbit collaboration)
- 'Half A World Away' Imperial Red Ale
Founder Paul Holgate will be in for a beer and a chat, and they'll have giveaways, merch and a few other surprises to boot.
