Brisbane Brewing Co are one of their home city's oldest breweries. Right now, they're looking for a new brewer to take the helm.
Job Description: Experienced Brewer / Distiller
Brisbane Brewing Co are seeking an experienced Head Brewer / Distiller to work in our West End venue.
About you:
- As the successful applicant, you will mainly work at Brisbane Brewing Co.’s West End property, and will also periodically work at the Woolloongabba venue
- You have a minimum of two years commercial brewing experience.
- Formal Brewing/Distilling qualifications highly advantageous
- You have a full manual Driver’s License and able to drive a large van
- You are physically fit and a capable of carrying 25kg bags of malt and lifting 50L kegs of beer
- You are motivated by the prospect of working in a family-run business alongside colleagues who are passionate about making and serving our own range of craft beers and spirits
- You understand that the brewery is very well established and brews a wide range of beers, including our core range, seasonal beers, small batch beers and a range of alcoholic ready to drink products
About the brewery:
- West End (QLD) based brewery
- Established 20-year-old family-owned business
- 12HL system, 2-3 x 12HL brews/week including RTD production
- It's an older system and is hands on in the process
- Primary business
- Predominantly servicing our 2 busy venues (Brisbane Brewing Co in West End and Brisbane Brewing Co in Woolloongabba). Kegs are also sold to selected local Brisbane Craft Beer venues on an ongoing basis. Producing a variety of staple beers as well as numerous small batch brews, specialty and seasonal beers, collaboration brews and a range of alcoholic ready to drink products
- Secondary business (i) – Canning of our core range of beers
- Secondary business (ii) - Production of spirits (gin and vodka) in our onsite 150L distillery
- Regular participation in AIBAs, Royal Qld Beer Awards and other craft beer events

- Located in the West End venue
- 150L Still
- Scope to distil a wider range of products
Your package:
- Salary negotiable, depending on experience, $80-85k (a discretionary monthly paid bonus also on offer)
- Full Time Hours, five days/week
