In our conventional meat-mad world, the concept of plant-based fast food might still cause a negative reflexive impulse in a handful of lifelong red-blooded meat-eaters. The truth is that it's not that big a deal, it's probably not as bad for you or the planet, and it can be really, really yum.
The crew at CoConspirators Brewing know all this, which is why they've invited the burgeoning plant-based fast food chain Mr. Charlies into their Brunswick home to run the kitchen for an extended spell.
Starting December 4, the self-proclaimed "sarcastic disruptors" will be dishing up their vegefied take on good ol' fashioned fast food favourites like juicy burgers and fries. These menu items, you'll find out, tend to pair particularly well with beer, which is handy since you'll be eating in a brewery.
Mr. Charlies' residence at CoConspirators will run throughout summer, from December 4 to February 2, 2025.
