King River Brewing are based in a beautiful part of Victoria's High Country and brew a wide range of beer styles. If you'd like to join the small family-run business, they're hiring a brewery operations assistant. 

If hospitality is more your bag, however, they're also hiring a venue manager. 


Job Description: Brewery Operations Assistant 

We have an exciting position to join our small and dynamic team at King River Brewing as Brewery Operations Assistant. We are looking for a motivated individual with attention to detail to help get the brewery cleaned, the kegs stacked, shipments packed for delivery and more. The job is currently 3 days a week, though we expect it to grow into a full time position during the year as we get rolling with our expansion.

King River Brewing is a small family-owned and operated brewery with taproom located in the beautiful King Valley, North East Victoria – part of Victoria’s High Country. We brew award winning beers and have a small but strong following in North East Vic, Albury/Wodonga, Melbourne and beyond. 

As a family business in a small region, we take great pride in being valuable and respected members of the community, great hosts to our customers and supportive employers.

Currently expanding both our taproom and production facilities, exciting opportunities now exist to join our growing award-winning family brewery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Assistant (50%)

  • General forklift duties (stacking and moving grain, kegs, supplies, etc)
  • Brewhouse and brewery maintenance not handled by the Head Brewer
  • Basic cleaning and maintenance related to brewing operations
  • Help during packaging, keg filling and inventory management
  • Record keeping and data entry

Logistics Assistant (50%)

  • Picking and packing orders
  • Local regional deliveries (Kegs and cases)
  • Preparing and maintaining equipment required for festivals and events
  • Minor maintenance tasks
  • Ensure loading docks are always clean and organised for access by suppliers
  • Inventory and stock take

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Physically fit and able to lift 
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver
  • Adaptability
  • Team Player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised

To be considered, you must possess:

  • Forklift Licence
  • Level Two First Aid
  • Drivers Licence
  • Basic computer skills
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia

POSITION DETAILS

  • Initially three days a week with the intention of becoming full time
  • Work in a well-respected brewery in a great regional location – all natures adventures are at our doorstep (biking, hiking, kayaking, paragliding and more)
  • Provide record keeping with attention to detail across brewery operations and logistics

REPORTING

This role reports to the Head Brewer.
