4 Pines have long enjoyed ocean views, with the brewery starting out in Manly. Their newest brewpub is located in Surfers Paradise and they're looking for a head brewer to lead operations there.

We're on a path of continuous improvement in our award-winning beers, our well-established core range as well as our ever-evolving pipeline of new product development and unique styles.
We know that our beers are only as great as our people, so to keep us elevating our game we’re on the look-out for a like-minded and experienced Head Brewer to join our ranks and head up our Brewpub in the picturesque Surfers Paradise, QLD. This is a senior role within the 4 Pines brewing team and a great opportunity for a highly motivated brewer to take that next step in their career with the support of a talented and experienced team.
As part of this role, you will be an integral part of brewing our core range beers as well as creating some of our Limited Release range - those unique beers that the locals have come to know and love us for. You'll be taking the reins of a 5hL brewpub in all aspects of operations with a focus on producing quality beers.

What’s your role going to look like?
- Managing and operating our 5hL Brewpub in Surfers
- Designing exceptional beers and appropriate brewing schedules
- Managing the local brewing and inventory management systems with support from the 4 Pines HQ in Sydney
- Engaging and collaborating with NPD Manager to ensure conformance to specifications and standards
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and on-site hospitality staff
- Championing continuous improvement across safety, quality and sustainability
- Planning and execution of our internal excellence program
- Ongoing reporting of key Brewery metrics to ensure alignment with KPIs and forecasts
- Guarantee the respect of HACCP standards
- Be an active 4 Pines Ambassador; someone who represents the 4 Pines brand positively, proactively collaborating with the TSG team, balancing the requirements of brewery, brand & venue
What skills will you likely need?
- A love for beer – tasting it, talking about it, designing it, creating it.
- Managing our SmartBrew system at 4 Pines Coolangatta to ensure a consistent supply of delicious, limited release beers.
- Recognised technical brewing qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in brewing with knowledge of recipe development and a flair for creativity
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as part of a wider team
- Demonstrated aptitude for coordinating production in a brewing environment
- Experience in fostering positive relationships with key external stakeholders – suppliers, customers, and hospitality staff
- Good knowledge of Brewery safety systems
