With our next piece for James Halliday’s Wine Companion Magazine sent off to the publishers today, it seems a good time to dust down another of our features for the mag. What’s more, our latest dip into the vault is rather timely as it concerns dark beers.

Originally published in the winter of 2012, Stout Advice looks at the world of darker beers: stouts, porters, dark ales and the like. It features:

  • Scott Wilson-Browne from Red Duck on how all beers were once dark

  • Simon Walkenhorst from Hargreaves Hill on his Russian Imperial Stout, a “sipping beer”.

  • Owen Johnston from Moo Brew on the “continuum of flavour”.
