In keeping with the slick way in which they present most of their canned releases, Bowden Brewing keep things simple when it comes to labelling their seasonal sours: the colour of the can might change but what catches your eyes will be the one word: "SOUR". That said, when it comes to deciding what ingredients to feature in their sours, well, as a perusal of their page on The Crafty Pint will tell you, that's rather less simple.
That said, this one is a little more straightforward than some: there's a good chance you'll have had beers with plum or raspberry in before. Here they're presented in combination, creating a hazy crimson beer with a lactobacillus-derived creaminess that had me checking whether there was lactose in the mix too. The souring plums form the baseline, the raspberries the top notes with a cherry like meeting of minds in the middle in what's another clean beer from Bowden.
