Six local breweries. Six dark beers. Only one winner.
Get into the spirit of the season at Modus Merewether as they host a Dark vs Dark evening where they invite five Newy brewers (plus themselves) to bring their best dark beer for a delicious face-off with highly consequentlial bragging rights on offer.
Taking place on August 2, you'll be able to sample dark beers from Modus, Method Brewing, Grainfed, FogHorn Brewhouse, Good Folk and Shout Brewing Co, all paired with some quality pub grub to keep you nourished.
There'll be a hot & spicy chilli wing contest with the participating brewers, then once their mouths have cooled off a Q&A session. They'll also have Pachinko with giveaways and prizes from each brewery, plus live music (presumably not performed by the brewers...).
Tickets are just $75 which includes a welcome schooner on arrival, some tasty wings, a burger and fries, and a tasting paddle of all the dark beers on offer.
