Good news for good beer fans in South Australia: Exit Brewing is about to become the latest brewer you'll be able to reclaim your magnificent 10c refund on at collection depots as the Melbourne brewer is go for launch in SA.
To mark the occasion, they'll be spending this weekend sharing their wares at a couple of fine venues.
On Friday March 11 there'll be a Meet The Brewer session at the Gilbert Street Hotel where three Exit beers will be on tap; the core IPA and amber ale as well as one of the very last kegs of the smoker stout. They'll be putting on some free beers, the number – in the brewer's own words – "at least as many pots (sorry, it’s a Victorian thing) as the number of goals Jack Reiwoldt, Shane Edwards and Daniel Rioli combined, kick on Thursday night against Port Adelaide". There'll also be t-shirt giveaways to the first person that can correctly proclaim brewer Grum's real name (you'll find a decent hint here) and the first person to correctly recite, in order, the numerical Exit range to date and styles (also some decent hints here).
Then on Saturday March 12 they're heading over to the Edinburgh Hotel in Mitcham for the Boutique Beer Challenge (1pm–4pm) where they'll be pouring the IPA and amber ale. The pub's bottle store will be the first to stock these two beers in bottle, so you know where to head to collect that 10c refund.
