At the beginning of May, Wayward Brewing launched Craft For A Cause, a series that will see a range of one-off beers brewed to raise money for a local charity of choice. The first beer was a Rose Kolsch whose proceeds are going to Cystic Fibrosis New South Wales.
The beer has poured at a handful of Sydney venues already but the main event is at the brewery on May 25 and will feature guest hosts, raffles, live music, commemorative merchandise, free-flowing beer and the following canapés made with Wayward beer:
- Charmer and chilli peanut brittle
- Corn tortilla chips with Guacamole
- Roasted pumpkin, sundried tomato and olive calzone
- Beef empanadas with salsa verde
- Sticky bacon wrapped chipolatas smothered in Midnight Barley Cowboy porter BBQ sauce
- Rose Kolsch marinated Southern fried chicken wings with ranch dipping sauce
- Sourpuss infused pulled pork sliders with asian slaw
Raffles will take place through the evening, with a superbly eclectic range of prizes on offer:
- Eight tickets to a private outdoor corporate box at ANZ Stadium – Rabbitohs v Eels on June 17
- Wentworth Falls Getaway – Valley of the Waters B&B, three night midweek stay in a Cliff View room with breakfast
- Mixed case of Red wine
- Rolling Stones ‘Established 1962’ 24 carat Commemorative Gold Plated Medallion
- Black Kasa Charcoal Grill BBQ Smoker
- Guy Ritchie signed first draft film script of ‘Sherlock Holmes’
It's a ticketed charity event so you'll need to reserve a spot here. All proceeds go towards CF NSW.
