If the first time is the best time, get on down to Newstead Brewing on October 1 as they host their inaugural Oktoberfest celebration.
Their Doggett St home will be transformed into a German-style beer hall and they'll be adding six beers to the taps for the day: a couple from Germany, a couple from fellow Brisbane brewers and a couple of their own that have been brewed specifically for the occasion (the rest of the range will, of course, be pouring too).
The kitchen will be getting in on the act with a full selection of German fare, the band will be pumping out the classic bier hall hits and there'll be plenty of chances to raise your stein.
A ticket gets you a half-litre Newstead branded stein to take home, some drinks to fill it and as much food as you can eat. As the brewery will be closed off to the public for the day, tickets are necessary and can be booked here for $85.
