With their monthly Saturday afternoon beer club coinciding with the Oktoberfest celebrations, the team at Annandale’s Empire Hotel has chosen to use that as their theme for September. But rather than going down the typical route of popping some well-known German beers on tap, they’ve chosen to go down the local route with a nod to the traditional.
They’ll be featuring German-style beers from Aussie brewers Rocks, Newstead, Stockade and Stone & Wood. For $25 you’ll get to try six of them in a mini-stein glass – which you get to take home – German pretzels, other nibbles and a few prizes (come dressed up in Oktoberfest garb and you’ll up your chances greatly).
If you’re bringing a big group it might pay to book a table, otherwise just show up for a 3pm start.
