Weihenstephan is a really, really ridiculously old brewery. Founded in 1040, apparently, which – if your mathematical skills aren't too great – makes it nearly a thousand years old. Imagine what it's like to be the brewer in charge of that!
But why imagine when you can just ask the brewer himself? Head Braumeister Tobias Zollo will be at The Wheaty on Wednesday October 5 for a brew with the Wheaty Brewing Corps, then for a bit of a Weihenstephan showcase and a chat at the front bar while the following classic beers flow from the taps:
- Pilsner
- Helles
- Hefe Weissbier
- Kristall Weissbier
- Dunkel
- Vitus
Needless to say, this is a very rare chance to meet a brewer of such esteemed pedigree, so take the chance while it's there.
