It seems like only yesterday that a hitherto unknown Sydney gypsy brewing company called Shenanigans celebrated its launch with an event that saw a line out the door for nearly two full hours. But “yesterday” was, in fact, three years ago. Yes, Shenanigans is turning three.
On Saturday March 11 you can join Dan and Sam for a celebration as they line up a dozen special treats at Bitter Phew.
In news that will please many fans of chilli, the birthday will see the addition of a new autumn seasonal, Hoppy Gonzales – if the general talk around town is any indication, it'll be a popular return for the fiery one.
The birthday will also see them return to the first beer they released, creating a pimped up Grisette. It’s called Grisette Supérieur and, with its addition of single origin NSW malts plus Galaxy and Barbe Rouge hops, it ought to be a suitably special anniversary ale. In all likelihood this will be the only opportunity to try it on tap.
In addition to that, they’ll have four single keg variants of last summer's Grisette that have been dosed with various cultures of Brettanomyces and left for six months. Needless to say, this will your only opportunity to try those too.
