Update: This event has been postponed – sorry!!

The barrels pictured above have been sitting in HopDog BeerWorks for several years and have, in their time, produced a wide array of highly interesting beers. Names like Holy Snappin’ Turtles, Unicorn Tears, Cherry Bombah and Electrostatic Graff will likely all be familiar to fans of the brewery, or just those with a passing interest in wild or spontaneously fermented ales. These beers sold out long ago and whatever remains does so in personal cellars. Including, as it happens, the one belonging to brewer Tim Thomas.
For a special occasion, he's raided that cellar and pillaged what he has fondly calls "The Sour Shelf" in order to line up the aforementioned beers for a special tasting session.
On the afternoon of Saturday March 4 Tim will be sharing the secrets of his many years of brewing and how these beers were made, what barrels do to beer, how things have aged and changed and what you should be tasting in these sour beers,
Tickets are just $35 which gets you the all the beers, a tour of the brewery and some locally sourced nibbles. To book a spot, email beer@hopdog.com.au or call 0428 293132.
The tasting kicks off at 3:30pm and runs for approximately two hours.
