It's long been one of Sydney's most reliable places from which to procure a good local beer and it's as busy as ever but, with all the boom and noise surrounding new breweries and craft beer venues in recent years, you get the feeling old Harts Pub doesn't get mentioned in craft beer circles quite as often as it once used to. The team there has decided that ought to be addressed.
With a string of new beer launches and the first major tap takeover of the year (a rather substantial effort with Hargreaves Hill) under their belt, they're going extra local for their next event by featuring the beers of the Akasha Brewing Company.
They'll have all the regular range on offer, supplemented by the latest small batch IPA and (all scheduling going to plan) a keg of XPA that will have been kegged and delivered on the day of the event – after all, this is a brewery that takes pride in pushing the "fresh is best" message.
The full lineup is as follows:
- Tradewind Lager
- Freshwater Pale Ale
- Angry @$#% XPA (kegged on the day)
- Hopsmith IPA
- Fire Within Amber Ale
- Simcoe IPA (small batch)
The folks from Akasha will be along on the evening to shout some beers and the kitchen will be serving up a selection of $10 snacks to match with all the beers.
Head down from about 5pm.
