South Wharf Craft Beer Weekend launches for the first time in 2017 as a celebration of Australian craft beer and cider producers.
Guests are invited to take up prime position on Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s front lawn, alongside the Yarra River, to enjoy spectacular views of the city while sampling award-winning craft beers and ciders.
Supported by live music and an array of gourmet food, it's been designed to be the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the weekend.
This event, presented by Thirsty Camel, is part of River Graze on the opening weekend of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. Over the weekend, the Yarra Promenade will be transformed into a "culinary playground for big and little foodies alike".
For beer lovers, Venom Beer will be hosting a large beer garden, where brewing company founder Joel Drysdale tells us you'll find "our resident reptile expert on hand showcasing pythons and other amazing animals. Plenty of prizes to be won and fun to be had."
Venom is joined by a huge lineup of other beer and cider producers (see full list below), as well as live music on both days and gourmet food stalls.
Admission cost $20 per person per day, with food and beverages available for purchase.
