Ch-check it out: The Union Hotel is getting taken over by a multinational this Friday as they welcome in the many varied beers of Yeastie Boys.
The erstwhile New Zealand brewer, now predominantly running things from the UK, will be represented by twelve beers that have come to Sydney from both near and far – including two that are apparently the only ones in Australia:
- White Matter – Session White Tea Ale
- Stairdancer – Pacific IPA
- White Noise – White Ale
- Big Mouth – Session IPA
- Minimatta – Session Earl Grey Pale Ale
- Digital IPA – Pacific IPA
- Gunnamatta – Earl Grey IPA
- Pot Kettle Black – South Pacific Porter
- Divine Hammer – Rye Amber Ale
- Dark Matter (PBK Remix 2016) – Earl Grey Porter
- His Majesty 2016 – Blended Barrel Aged Golden Ale
- Her Majesty 2016 – Blended Barrel Aged Dark Ale
Those last two are the only kegs in Australia, so will be a suitably special way to finish your evening. Or start it in the manner in which you intend to carry on.
In what is a perfectly natural pairing, the pub will be blasting out Beastie Boys albums from 9pm
For those that like to take it slow and low, tasting paddles will be available until 8pm. For those of you planning to shake your rump a little later on, jugs will be pouring until 10pm.
