Ale Stars has long been an institution at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda. Every month, for many years, its stage has showcased some of the best brewers, beer people and – of course – beers from across the Australia and around the world.
The April 2017 edition is one for hop lovers as it shines a spotlight on Sydney's Akasha Brewing Company.
Founder, head brewer and soul stirrer Dave Padden will be along to share some of his much-loved range, including the just-released triple IPA, Wooden Leg. The four beers you'll get to try are...

- Fire Within Amber Ale
- Hopsmith IPA
- Wooden Leg IIIPA (second anniversary ale)
Tickets are $40 which gets you the beers, some dinner and entry into the trivia - you can make a booking here.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
