It's rare enough to get BentSpoke beers outside of the ACT. You can count your lucky stars if you find more than one. Finding 20? That's gotta verge on miraculous. But it's what you'll get if you pop your head into either branch of the Local Taphouse over what will be a rather large weekend.
The St Kilda venue gets to go first, on Friday April 28, when they host founder and head brewer Richard Watkins for an exclusive guided tasting at 8pm (it'll cost you $20 and you can book here). Darlo gets him the following day, hosting the guided tasting at 5pm (same price, tickets here)
Both venues will be pouring the following:
- Crankshaft (West Coast IPA)
- Canberra Draught (Euro style lager)
- Barley Griffin (Canberra Pale Ale)
- Sprocket (IPA)
- Big Nut (Strong Dark Ale)
- Red Nut (Red IPA)
- Saisons Greetings (Saison)
- Two Weeks (IPL)
- Cluster 8 (Imperial IPA)
- Cluster 12 (Triple IPA)
- Tour De Brugge (Strong Belgian Golden Ale)
- Cluster 18 (Sexxxtuplit IPA)
- Dick Tracy (Brown Ale)
- Mercurio’s Horny Goat (English Strong Ale)
- Frenzy (Raspberry Wheat Beer)
- Descent 16 (Russian Imperial Stout)
- Brindabella Cider (Apple Cider)
- Braddon Bitter (English Bitter - Hand-pumped)
- Puss In Boots (Sour Ale)
- At Wit’s End (Wit)
- Reflector (Wet-hopped Red Ale)
Doors open at midday and entry is free.
