Job Description: Experienced Brewer
Modus Brewing is a multi-award winning, 100% family-owned brewery and brew-pub business based in sunny Mona Vale on the Northern Beaches, Sydney and laid-back Merewether in Newcastle.

The Role:
Our brewers at Modus are integral to our production and packaging processes, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in beer creation. We emphasise rigorous quality control, meticulous record-keeping, and a clean, safe workplace. This role includes cellar operations, overseeing production from start to finish, and managing the packaging line. Our team is encouraged to contribute their creative flare to our dynamic limited beer program. Additionally, you'll support various venue and business needs as required. The position is based in Merewether, with occasional duties in Mona Vale.
- Execute the day-to-day operations outlined in the Production Schedule.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, in line with manufactures requirements on all brewery equipment.
- Adhere diligently to quality standards and recipe requirements.
- Meticulous attention to cleanliness and following instructions precisely.
- Strive for continuous improvements through the development and implementation of standards and processes.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement of the brewery.
- Festival/weekend work as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- IBD diploma or equivalent brewing qualification (preferred).
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Valid RSA.
- Valid Australian driver’s license.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a production brewery.
- Possess a deep understanding of the brewing and packaging processes.
- High level troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to learn new skills and mentor/coach other team members.
- Experience with automation control systems.
