I imagine life at Blackman’s Brewery is always pretty cruisy. There they are, brewing in either Geelong or Torquay and walking around saying things like “radical” as if they're Milhouse and dropping shuckas left, right and centre. To celebrate the good life, they’ve brewed Radical Haze and even looking at the can makes me feel like I’m closer to the beach and therefore, more relaxed.
The hazy IPA is hopped with a cross-continental cross section in Galaxy, Strata, Motueka and Citra and it’s a smooth and slick time thanks to plenty of oats and wheat in the malt bill. Those hops bring sweet mango, fresh orange juice, white grape and a touch of a herbal note while a slight bitterness balances out the beer's soft and fruity edges. But not too bitter: life at Blackman's is cruisy.
