Blackman’s Brewery have brewed an alternative to the great combo (or a wonderful further addition) in the shape of Spicy Dill Pickle sour. The beer is part of their Blackman's Team series, which sees them let a staff member take control of the brewhouse, with this beer the responsbility of Tat, the brewery's "roller skating super organised admin queen", so we can safely say that Tat knows how to live a good life.
It certainly packs a good bit of heat too which comes courtesy of the habanero and ensures the the distinct presence of capsaicin that doesn't just come out like a chilli aroma but hits the lips like a vapour before you've even had a sip. That heat, although very present at first, soon starts to die down as the briney, dill and sour pickle flavours all kick in. Welcome to the weekend, I know what I'll be ordering.
