Wolf of the Willows x Telluride Brewing Freshies

It's a long way from Mordialloc to the mountains but Wolf of the Willows have always held a close affinity with life on the ski slopes and before the brewery was born, cofounder Scott McKinnon fell for craft beer while chasing fresh powder snow in the States. To mark the start of Australia’s ski season, Wolf have been pouring beers at the Snow Travel Expo, including a collab with one of their US brewery mates, Telluride Brewing Co, who make beer at the base of the Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado.

Fittingly, Freshies is a dry hopped pilsner that features Australia’s Ella and America’s Strata hops that provide light topical notes, stonefruit, citrus and a floral touch. Those are joined by bready malt tones and a gentle bitterness for an easy-drinking beer ready to be enjoyed post-ski.
