Cervezas weren’t always popular, or even welcome, in craft beer circles, but when their rise began, Nice Guys’ Grant Morley was ready to welcome one into his Richmond brewpub. The longtime homebrewer had always embraced making lagers—after all, few things are better for showcasing a brewer’s skill.

Enjoy one at the brewpub, and you’ll find it filled with delicate corn and a gentle graininess akin to whole-grain crackers. While it’s a lean and quite light-on-its-feet affair, the hops also bring soft citrus, so you can forget about slicing limes and dropping them into your glass.
