Many moons ago (well, 2015), Bridge Road released the Magical Christmas Unicorn, a vanilla ice cream-inspired beer designed to be enjoyed as a dessert tipple. The beer’s become a regular fixture in the brewery’s roster of beers since and now, with Easter on its way, another unicorn has joined the clan. This one’s been given a chocolate twist to better fit the idea it should be hidden in the garden for any grown up Easter egg hunters.
It’s an impressively decadent beer with a rich creaminess that places it somewhere between a glass of chocolate mousse and a soufflé. There's some roasted notes in there, too, although, by and large, it’s sweet chocolate that creates this Easter egg in the bottle – one the brewery suggests is best served inside a decapitated chocolate bunny.
Update: he's bounced back for more since 2019, with a new look and transition into cans while maintaining a similar personality.
