Bridge Road New Sky IPA Vol. 6: Oat Latte

They haven’t even opened their Brunswick brewpub yet and already Bridge Road are getting that little bit more hipster. For IPA Day 2023, they brewed Oat Latte; volume six in their New Sky IPA series and one that features El Dorado, Mosaic and Sabro hops.

But beyond hops and oats in the malt bill, the brewery’s also added coffee from Melbourne stalwarts Seven Seeds, and the blend of choice was their Golden Gate Espresso. In other words, it’s an oat latte meets and oat cream IPA, and the aroma comes filled with both fresh coffee and hints of tropical fruit. It’s incredibly silky on the palate while the beer’s sweet side makes the espresso come across like a Vietnamese iced coffee as the tropical tones lighten things up in the shape of coconut and dried mango.
