It was a happy day for the Felons team when they walked through HPA's hop fields in rural Victoria, checking out bines, crushing hop cones and cracking tinnies. They were in the process of kicking off their partnership with HPA to keep the Galaxy flowing hard and fast: a partnership that’s captured in Galaxy Haze. Brewery director Tom Champion is mighty proud of this beer, calling it a “strong contender for most refreshing hazy”. It’s up to you to try it for yourself and see if he’s on the money.
The beer pours a lemony yellow colour and is cloudy like the Milky Way.* The light and bright notes of Galaxy rise up and take hold, with passionfruit tang and citrus zest (boosted by an addition of Eclipse hops) giving this beer some real verve. A spritzy, refreshing carbonation gives the Galaxy some zing to go with its zap,** and a touch of bitterness at the end holds everything together and leads you from sip to sip – until you reach your final sip, and tip your glass up to make sure you get every last drop.

*To clarify, I mean the galaxy, not the chocolate bar. But if you needed that cleared up then you haven’t been paying attention to the name of this beer. **Yes, that’s right - this beer tastes like the onomatopoeic sound balloons in a comic book.
