The chances of seeing the beers of Bandicoot Brewing in Sydney are about the same as spotting one of the insectivorous marsupials scuttling around Surry Hills. In other words, very low. Unless, of course, you happen to be at Bitter Phew this weekend when they host a small showcase of the Echuca brewery's beers.
It's a rather dark looking lineup that's capped off in some style with Southern Courage, a ballsy Russian Imperial Stout that's been aged in Lark Distillery whiskey barrels:
- Stars and Stripes – Amber Ale (5.4%)
- Nightmare - Black IPA (6.66%)
- Insomniac – Coffee Porter (6.5%)
- Southern Courage – Lark Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout (10%)
Make the most of the chance to try these beers from midday on Saturday March 25. They'll be pouring over the weekend, although if the kegs blow before then you've really only got yourself to blame for not getting there sooner.
