Pint of Origin returns to Good Beer Week for a sixth time when the festival kicks off from May 12 to 21.
This year sees The Crafty Pint curated pocket of the festival spread its wings further north and south than ever before, continuing our mission to help craft beer grow and find new audiences.
To help you navigate the biggest collection of venues to date, we created three #PoO17 Crawls, complete with downloadable maps. You can view the maps and read all about the participating venues by clicking on the images below. If you're in Geelong during the week, head to Blackman's Brewery Bar where they're hosting the South West's brewers as a regional PoO venue.
For those venturing out in Melbourne, be sure to pick up a PoO Passport from the participating venues. Collect six stamps at six different venues and you'll get a free pot at the sixth.
NB Given the high cost of many of the beers being showcased, the choice for your free sixth pot is at the discretion of the venue owners.
We've delivered 50 Passports to each venue – once they're gone, they're gone so get PoOing early!
We've compiled a stack of beer from our mates in the beer world for people taking part in #PoO17. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning, simply head to the competition page here and register your participation so we can pick winners once the festival is over. For full details of the prize pool, head here.
Keep an eye on Crafty Pint socials, particularly Twitter and Instagram, to find out where we'll be shouting beers with brewers throughout the week – and when other #PoO17 action is taking place. The articles below already include details of some brewer shouts with the first trio taking place on Saturday, May 13:
- Midday – Pirate Life at The Palace
- 2pm – Naparbier at Ladro TAP
- 6.30pm – Fixation & FogHorn at The Windsor Alehouse
- May 15, 5pm – Watts River, Hargreaves Hill, Sailors Grave and Bridge Road at The Cherry Tree
Have a great week, Good Beer Weekers!
