It’s a tough time for the beer industry, but Melbourne’s Bonehead Brewing has used these dark days to really look inwards and stay close to their community. Lighter Than You Think was brewed to remind people to look out for those around them and start important conversations. They’ve even shown you how by providing a QR code filled with resources (which you can find here ), and for each pot, pint, keg, and case they sell, they’re donating proceeds to the resources that the Boneheads have tapped into recently.
So, while this beer is about much more than the liquid, the liquid is nonetheless quite impressive. Lighter Than You Think is a reimagining of Bonehead’s core range Sweet Pea, with this dark lager sitting at 3.5 percent ABV and presenting as a small beer with big beer energy. Indeed, it’s packed with roasted tones, dark chocolate, and swirls of licorice and aniseed, all balanced by a lean, dry, and bitter bite.
