Some breweries add a little lactose to a hazy IPA and call it a milkshake IPA. One Drop takes it to a whole new level.
If you tasted their Kellogg’s Cornflakes Milkshake IPA (are we still allowed to say “cornflakes” and “IPA” in the same sentence?) and enjoyed it, don’t bother reading the following description. Just get this beer.
If you didn’t try the collab with The Cereal That Shall Not Be Named (Anymore), then come to this beer expecting face-thwacking creamy fruitiness. In the way of fruitiness, this beer is decked out with enough mango pulp to take you to Far North Queensland and leave you there, with enough flavour coming through from the hops to bolster it and keep it from being one-dimensional. But the creaminess is what really sets this beer apart - between the coconut milk, the Sabro hops, the lactose, the vanilla and the nitro, this drinks like a melted Weiss Bar [You trying to throw them under the FARE/ABAC bus too, Mick? – Editor]. While the thick white head isn’t quite enough to give you a milk moustache, this mango milkshake IPA will give you a milk moustache for the soul.
