Being one of WA’s first examples of haze, Indi’s Fruitulus Lupulus has gathered plenty of fans and accolades over many years. Double iterations have also featured previously, and perhaps it’s the refinement on offer as Double Fruitulus returns that warrants a scrawled tasting note of “plush, fruity mouth velvet” – if there was such a thing.
There’s no burn, no bite, just a smooth glide of quadruple dry-hopped vibes creating a melon, OJ, sweet mandarin and tropical mélange. It's the kind of juicy haze which no doubt pairs well with watching the boats return to harbour in the late afternoon sun at Indian Ocean's marina home – in this light, it should probably be severed in a hurricane glass with a cocktail umbrella too.
